Del Presents Dr. Rickey Vincent. He is an American author and historian. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Vincent is known for his expertise in funk music. He has written notable books, like Funk: The Music, the People, and the Rhythm of The One (St. Martin's Press, 1996).

Vincent, from Berkeley, California, loved funk music after seeing bands in the 1970s. He got a Master's and Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies, studying funk's history. The UC Berkely Professor teaches and hosts a radio show on funk music. Vincent started the San Francisco Funk Festival in 2001. He's been on TV and is known for his work on funk music.
